A.LUCAS
Studying Fine Art at KSA, I am an artist currently working with a variety of mediums including instillation, textile/ clothing work and 35mm photography. My work explores queer theory and our relationships with the body and how it’s presented, with consideration of material and object placement. My garments and installations are intended to archive and memorialise mainly my friends and myself, as I think the history of queer people is too often written over. I have also facilitated performance evenings alongside art exhibitions at The Windmill in Brixton involving poetry, live music and performance.

The second event was a Queer Cabaret, a night platforming LGBTQIA+ poets, performance artists and musicians also with a small exhibition alongside.
-PHD Assessment installation
Assisted a PHD student in installing and uninstalling a small exhibition for their assessment.

During my first year at university myself and some other students put on our own life drawing sessions once a week
-A Particular Reality collective
I am part of a collective at my university which works to dismantle racism within the institution and platform marginalised members of the artistic community, both within the university and outside of it.
